Monsoon’s co-founders each have over 30 years experience in their respective industries.
Our team has helped build some of the great storage companies and clouds infrastructures of the last decade including Box, Facebook, Apple iCloud, FusionlO, Violin Memory and Alibaba. Our core team has built storage and cloud solutions for Amazon, Oracle, IBM, EMC and other leading storage and cloud providers.
Having taken several companies from concept to industry leader and with some, public companies, the team is well-positioned to drive this potential massive protocol-based industry. The team has a wealth of financial market experience that spans several centuries of leading financial services across the globe. Our Asia and US centric approach is forward-looking as the center of gravity shifts to the pacific market rim anchored with the strong technology and markets of US, China, Korea and Japan.
Our History
For more than a decade, our team has been at the forefront of technological innovation, having created three companies, each of which became game-changers in their respective fields. With the conception of Monsoon, the team has once again positioned itself as a first-mover in a space that is on the brink of momentous growth. Building upon various technological advances that have developed over the last four years, Monsoon has created a protocol-based blockchain solution that is changing the economics and flexibility of the analysis, storage and optimization of cloud-based video and image data sets.
In forming Monsoon, we brought together several existing technology development streams from three companies. Object-based storage technology, cloud-based optimization technology, cloud-based policy, machine learning, Al and El capabilities, and a consumer-based video and messaging platform.
Our object technology roots were started in 2012 and it is estimated that over $30 million has been invested in this technology stream. The capabilities of our Cloud management is in its fifth generation and has been optimized over the last eighteen months with the latest technology and methods of a modern heterogeneous cloud environment.
Our consumer message and video technology, developed over the last three-and-a-half years, embodies a core piece of scalable video-centric technology for offering state-of-the-art video and messaging capabilities built in a royalty-free code base. When combined with the storage services for audio, video and images, a media-centric consumer technology will be birthed allowing the Monsoon consumer platform to be an innovative leader in video-centric messaging on an incentive-based P2P network.
Monsoon is developing its own Ethereum-based blockchain and native token technology. Ripple is a good model from a thought perspective of some of the goals of this new technology stream being added to our existing capabilities in built over the last several years.
